Kitchen Extension – Mrs Bagley

We removed the existing conservatory, replacing it with a larger single storey extension. This involved opening up the entire back of the house. We opened up the original kitchen and dining area into the new extension using steels in the ceiling to allow the old part of the room to flow seamlessly into the new part. Aluminium bi-folding doors were fitted making this space feel even brighter and larger and two additional Velux windows in the roof. Upgraded the central heating system and the wiring to current standards. We also fitted new UPVC windows throughout with a bay window to the front of the property.

Mrs Bagley Review:

“Abell Building Services built our extension to a very challenging specification and deadline, and completed on time to a very high standard. The work included complex steelwork, elaborate glazing and a late change of planning that required moving drains and other services. This was all executed while we remained living in the house, and without great inconvenience thanks to careful planning and co-ordination with materials, machinery, and work activity. Of particular satisfaction is the execution of a full-width 5-section folding glass back wall to the house, and the complex insertion of reinforcement steel above the ceiling line to remain invisible in the finished work.

Ryan and the Abell Building Services team are conscientious and competent contractors that respect regulatory compliance and safety. Experienced and resourceful workers are directed properly to perform an accurate and well-finished job. All trades are respected, with expert and specialist subcontractors engaged where necessary, and the client’s wishes remain paramount in the objectives.”
